Smash Hit Caldereta
Make them fall in love with this meaty stew, one hearty serving after another.
For best results, cook with: "Extra Rice" ♫

  • 150 g potato chunks
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1-1/2 tbsp liver spread
  • ½ kg lean beef chunks
  • 1 pouch (80g) Del Monte Quick n Easy
    Caldereta Sauce
  • 1 tbsp grated cheese
  • 50 g red bell pepper strips
  • ½ cup frozen green peas
  • 1 pc siling labuyo (sliced) (Optional)

  • *Makes 4-5 Servings
Fry the potatoes in oil until they're soft and slightly brown. Make sure to turn them on all sides! Then set aside.
Step 1
In the same pan, cook the liver spread and beef, and stir occasionally until the meat is brown.
Step 2
Add 2 to 2-1/2 cups water.
Step 3
Cover and simmer over low heat for 1 hour or until meat is tender.
Step 4
Drain the meat and reserve the broth.
Step 5
Put the meat back to the pan and add only ¾ cup broth. You may add more water if needed.

For that rich tomato goodness, pour in Del Monte Quick n Easy Caldereta Sauce.

Mix it all up with cheese, bell pepper, and green peas.

Cover and simmer for another 5 minutes, then stir in fried potatoes.

And your Caldereta's ready! (Keep extra servings of rice on hand for extra huge appetites just in case.)
